EARLY POST OFFICES OF OKLAHOMA
Grant Foreman
Page
271
The current installment is a compilation from the records of the Postmaster-General so far as they contain the names of post
offices and postmasters within the Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek, and Seminole Nations created prior to statehood. It
is made up from the records subsequent to those examined and copied for the installment which appeared in the Chronicles of Oklahoma for March, 1928. The next and final installment will contain the names of post offices for the same period within Oklahoma
Territory and small Indian Nations not included within the Five Civilized Tribes, following the list published in the June,
1928, number of the Chronicles.
