"His life was gentle, and the elements
So mix'd in him, that Nature might stand up —
And say to all the world, 'This was a man'." |
It will be the duty and privilege of the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Historical Society at its meeting in January to
offer its tribute of praise to the memory of our beloved President, Charles F. Colcord, the man who has been justly called,
"Oklahoma's First Citizen."
